Don’t Miss Our Last Monthly Mushroom Webinar of the Year

As the year comes to an end, there is still time to join one more installment of our Specialty Mushroom project’s free monthly webinar series.

On Tuesday, November 19, the topic of financial planning for mushroom enterprises will be covered with our mushroom project specialist, Steve Gabriel, and Faith Gilbert of Letterbox Farm Collective. You will learn the basics of building an enterprise budget, and how mushroom enterprises can fit within a larger whole farm plan. We will also introduce and demonstrate how to use our improve shiitake and oyster mushroom budgeting tool, which will be made available as a free Google document template moving forward.

The webinar will be held from 3:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. EST. Each webinar is offered live, and is also recorded and posted for later viewing on the Cornell Small Farms Program’s YouTube channel.

Our Specialty Mushroom project supports new and existing mushroom growers in all aspects of production, marketing, and sales through ongoing research and education efforts. Learn more about these efforts on the project page, where you will also find factsheets, videos, and free guidebooks as well as a directory of suppliers and a grower network email list.

You can catch up on our previous webinars, which cover topics ranging from growing oyster mushrooms in coffee grounds to insect-killing fungi, with our mushroom webinar playlist.
