Land Acknowledgement: Cornell University is located on the traditional homelands of the Gayogo̱hó:nǫɁ (the Cayuga Nation). The Gayogo̱hó:nǫɁ are members of the Haudenosaunee Confederacy, an alliance of six sovereign Nations with a historic and contemporary presence on this land. The Confederacy precedes the establishment of Cornell University, New York state, and the United States of America. We acknowledge the painful history of Gayogo̱hó:nǫɁ dispossession, and honor the ongoing connection of Gayogo̱hó:nǫɁ people, past and present, to these lands and waters.

I am looking for help in Ontario County. I am trying to reduce food waste from farms and farms markets by connecting local farmers/markets with communities in need. Sounds like Sebastian Interlandi is doing something similar. Any suggestions or help in getting this started would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Hi Peggy,
I would suggest contacting the Ontario County Cornell Cooperative Extension, if you have not already – you can find the local contact at https://smallfarms.cornell.edu/contact/local-contacts/. They likely will have a better idea of similar projects in the area, any regional restrictions, resources, etc. Hope this helps!
