Futuro en Ag is committed to farmer success and long-term farm business viability. Our educational resources and materials are designed in partnership with Spanish-speaking and bilingual farm business entrepreneurs. By expanding educational access through dynamic teaching tools and connecting communities through collaborative training opportunities, we aim to grow farmer success in New York State and beyond.

We aim to support the success of aspiring Ag entrepreneurs by:

  • Expanding access to educational materials through the creation of the Centro de Recursos para Agricultores.
  • Developing intentional programs for farmers, their families and and their communities to expose them to more inclusive learning experiences.
  • Hosting farmer-to-farmer peer learning groups.
  • Building service provider networks to support diverse new farmers.
  • Producing timely information in Spanish with the appropriate cultural and technical practices through the formal and informal education for the current emerging generation of farmers.
  • Training leaders capable of managing their farms successfully will make agriculture a pleasant career that allows economic mobilization and well-being in the short and medium term.

This project is partially supported by a grant from the New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets.
