Farm Ops Scholarship Application: Training/Event of Your Choice

Scholarship Application for In-person Educational Training, Workshop, or Conferences of Your Choice

This scholarship offers funds for NYS veterans to attend agricultural trainings, workshops and/or conferences. Each scholarship has individual parameters so please refer back to the scholarship description.

If you find a training that you would like to attend that is not advertised on our website, please fill out an application and include the link to the event website. You will need to upload a document for the application to submit, so if you are proposing an unadvertised scholarship, upload a document where you indicate why you are interested in the event and how it relates to your current or aspired operation.

Scholarship applications will be reviewed and considered on an individual basis and will be dependent on available funding. Scholarships may reimburse costs for mileage, event registration, and may be eligible for a higher reimbursement rate that includes hotel costs.

You will be notified via email within 5 working days whether your submission has been approved or denied.

Bailey Colvin

Bailey joined the Small Farms Program in 2022 as a veterans project associate with Farm Ops. She has a fond appreciation for the sacrifices that our veterans, active-duty military members, and their families make for our country as many close to her have served. Her work supports veterans who wish to explore or further their agricultural ventures with educational resources, training, and opportunities to network with other farmer veterans. Her goal is that veterans ultimately find a renewed sense of purpose through agriculture in their communities.
