NOTE: The social definition of “race” has resulted in systemic institutional racism and made it more challenging for people of color to farm. We ask this question as one measure toward our goal of supporting ALL people who farm or want to farm. You can read more about this commitment in our Equity and Justice Statement on our About page.

What is 7+4?

Bailey Colvin

Bailey joined the Small Farms Program in 2022. Being a military wife, she has a fond appreciation for the sacrifices that our veterans, active-duty military members, and families make for our country. Her primary goal is to get to know our veterans, their backgrounds, and what transferable skills they carry from their military careers. She works to effectively support the lifestyle change they are seeking. The education, training, and resources provided afford our veterans many opportunities to explore their interests with purposeful connections to their communities through agriculture and farming.
