NOFA/Mass Winter Conference

January 16, 2016

Worcester State University

We hope you can join us in Worcester for this wide-ranging and immersive educational experience!

With 70 workshops on topics like farming, homesteading, urban agriculture, gardening, health, education, community, food preservation, beekeeping, herbs, land care, food politics, and more!

Exhibitors from around New England offer tools, local wares, and information about regional food planning, activism, and more.

This is an event for the whole family! While you attend great educational workshops, your children and teens experience age-appropriate and fun workshops about these same topics. The children and teen conferences provide a lively, interactive educational experience for young growers.

Ben Burkett, family farmer and coordinator of Mississippi Association of Cooperatives, is this year’s keynote speaker. He offers an all-day seminar focusing on the survivability of family farmers and the benefits of farming cooperatively. Informed by his own experiences as an African-American family farmer deeply involved in cooperative enterprises, Burkett will also share his experiences traveling internationally, exchanging knowledge and information with small-scale farmers.

Register by the December 15 early bird deadline and save.

An all-organic lunch is included in the cost of registration. Stick around after the conference, or register a la carte, to enjoy a hearty dinner and learn more about Ben Burkett in an intimate setting.
