Livestock Production Field Day

Learn firsthand how small-scale livestock producers have built successful businesses and discover the steps involved in taking your animals from the farm to the marketplace.

During this Field Day, you’ll learn about:
– How to raise and manage beef cattle, chickens, turkeys, and pigs.
– What it takes to process and sell meat in New York State.
– Strategies for pricing your products and finding local markets.
– Practical tips and real-world experiences from successful small-scale livestock producers.

You’ll also tour both farms, have opportunities to ask questions, connect with fellow farmers, and enjoy a farm-fresh dinner prepared by Horizon Ridge Farm.

Horizon Ridge Farm: 6 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. (dinner included)
