Farm Ops Offering Veteran Scholarships for Soil Health & Climate Resiliency Field Days

Field day events will be occurring across NYS throughout July and August!

Soil health, crop rotation, cover crops, weed management, reduced tillage … what more could a farmer want to talk about? No matter if you are growing vegetables and field crops, grains, or fruit, somewhere in NYS there is a field day for you.

This event series from the New York Soil Health team and partner organizations includes nine separate events occurring across NYS. Our Farm Ops project wants to support farmer veterans desiring to attend one of these events. Veterans may request reimbursement for mileage and registration fees in addition to a $100 participation stipend to offset other related costs.

Be sure to take a look at all the 2022 Field Day Events and register for the event that’s right for you. Then visit the Farm Ops Scholarship page and follow the steps outlined to submit your scholarship request.
