The New York Farm Viability Institute (NYFVI) is a nonprofit grant making organization. The Institute runs competitive grant programs, seeking to fund research, education and business development projects that can improve the economic viability of New York’s Farmers. Their funding is primarily from New York State.
In order to fund the projects that are most relevant and beneficial for the agriculture community, periodically the collect information to learn more about what farmers consider their most critical needs and opportunities. The 2016 NY Vegetable Growers Survey (found online here) is part of that effort.
All individual responses will be kept confidential, data will only be shared in an aggregate form. Questions about your farm’s size and production practices are only asked so we can understand the number of farms that may be similar to your own.
If you have any questions about the survey, please call Aileen Randolph at (315) 453-3823. To learn more about NYFVI, visit www.nyfvi.org
