NOFA-NY Farming Photo Contest- Entries Due Nov. 1
NOFA-NY’s annual photo contest celebrates the beauty, diversity, and productivity of our state’s organic farms and farmers.
Photos will judged in four categories:
Bringing in the Harvest
Daily Life on the Farm
Honoring our Farmers
At the Market
NOFA-NY will select one winner per category plus one overall winner. The winner in each category will receive a $25 gift certificate to the our online store.
The overall winner will receive a free registration for the NOFA-NY Winter Conference in Saratoga Springs, January 24-26, 2014. (The award includes three-day registration and all meals.)
The deadline for entries is November 1, 2013. All winners will be notified via e-mail on or before December 1, 2013.
Rules for Farming Photo Contest:
Number of submissions: Entrants may submit photos in any or all of four categories. A maximum of 3 photo submissions per category are allowed (12 photos total per entrant).
Entries: Please submit entries at the FULL resolution size. Minimum file size of 1 MB. Each file must also have a minimum pixel size of at least 1200 in both directions. Photos that do not meet these requirements will not be judged.
File Submission: All photo entries are due by November 1, 2013. All electronic photo files should be labeled in the following format for submission: PhotoTitle_FirstnameLastname_Category. Submit photos by sending them to e-news@nofany.org with “Photo Contest” in subject line. Please submit one photo attachment per e-mail.
Rights to Photos: NOFA-NY reserves the right to use the photographs in printed materials and on our web site without paying compensation to the photographer or the subjects. Your entry to the contest constitutes your agreement to allow your photographs to be: published on NOFA-NY web sites and social media sites; displayed at the NOFA-NY office and at events; used in print publications of NOFA-NY including, but not limited to, news magazine, advertisements, promotional materials. All entries must be free of claims and rights of third parties. Entrants retain all other rights to future use of their photographs except as specified.
