Land For Good

Land For Good’s (LFG) mission is to expand secure farmland access, tenure, and transfer.

We connect, assist, and engage farmers, landowners, service providers, communities, and policymakers to grow farming opportunity and sustainably keep land in agriculture. We work across scales, from individual support to federal policy, to improve how farmers get onto, hold, and transfer farms. LFG started in 2004, to address some of the underlying challenges in New England farmland access. Through one-on-one advising and support, education, resources, and advocacy, LFG helps farmers gain secure tenure on farmland through purchase, lease, or other arrangement. LFG’s team of field agents works directly with farmers to help them find land and make secure tenure arrangements that will support viable farm businesses and give them the opportunity to sustainably feed their communities.
