Chesapeake Ag Innovation Center (CAIC)

The Chesapeake Agriculture Innovation Center (CAIC) began in 2020 as an initiative of the non-profit Eastern Shore Entrepreneurship Center (ESEC) to promote economic development in the agriculture and aquaculture sectors—two of our region’s traditional industries.

CAIC supports farmers and value-added producers in Maryland, Delaware, Virginia, and the District of Columbia by providing access to training, consulting, and capital-essential building blocks for business success and access to new markets. Whether you’re still in the idea stage or whether you’ve been established for a bit longer, we offer a range of resources designed to enhance your business knowledge, skills, and access to resources. These services are separate from our signature Producers Growth Program and Producers Startup Program and can be easily customized to meet your specific needs and schedule.
