Are you interested in growing grains? Upcoming event: Re-inventing the Hudson Valley Breadbasket

Join us Monday, June 24, 2013. 10:30 AM – 2:30 PM. Migliorelli Farm, Red Hook, NY.
This special event features:

  • A tour of Cornell’s Hudson Valley regional wheat and barley variety trials
  • Dr. Mark Sorrels will discuss Cornell’s initiative to develop regionally-adapted small grains varieties for local and specialty markets
  • A discussion of small grains production considerations for the humid northeast
  • A discussion panel and Q & A with representatives of emerging markets for:
    • Artisan baked goods
    • Craft brewing
    • Micro-distilleries
    • NYC-metro Greenmarkets
