NOFA-NY will hold their 32nd Annual Winter Conference at the end of this month. The theme for the conference—“Preserving the Past, Seeding the Future”— honors the history of the organic movement and those people who pioneered the movement. It also looks ahead to ensure that future generations have the resources they need to carry on this work. In addition, the topic of seeds is very timely given the concerns about maintaining organic and genetically diverse seed in agriculture.
This conference offers a line up of workshops on a wide range of topics from dairy farming to urban gardening, from food policy to business planning plus a special children’s conference, entertainment, and delicious meals made from food donated by local farmers.
