DESCRIPTION:Who is this for? \n\nSheep and goat producers\nThose interested in sustainable internal parasite control and management strategies\n\nWhat will you learn at Saturday’s session? \n\nKnow your parasites\nKnow your tools – management practices\, prescribed grazing\, animal selection\nUnderstanding targeted deworming strategies\nHands-on FAMACHA scoring and 5-point checks (health exam)\nStudents who pass the exam will become certified and receive a FAMACHA card\n\nWhat will you learn at the Tuesday evening session? \n\nHands-on training for performing fecal egg counts.\nUnderstanding the use of a fecal egg count reduction test\nPreparing slides and identifying parasites under microscope. You are welcome to bring a refrigerated fecal sample of 8 to 10 fecal pellets from your farm to the workshop.
