DESCRIPTION:Join us at Twin Oaks Dairy to learn about how they are incorporating trees into their dairy grazing systems (aka silvopasture)! \nHere’s what you can look forward to: \n\nLearn about Twin Oaks’ rotational grazing system\nHear about the farm’s motivations for planting trees into pastures\, lessons learned\, and plans for the future\nTour two silvopasture plantings: one planted in 2021 including 20ft tall black locusts and one newly planted this spring\nLearn from experts about how and why silvopasture could benefit your grazing operation\nPlentiful opportunity for conversation – we welcome everyone to share their knowledge\, experiences\, and questions\n\n\nPlease wear appropriate footwear for walking around pastures. If anyone needs assistance with the walk to the silvopasture plantings\, UTV’s will be available to assist. \nPhotos and videos may be collected during the event and shared to a broader audience.
