Shaun Bluethenthal

I got involved with the Small Farms Program as an addition to and a continuation of my ongoing professional journey/transition into agriculture. This appointment affords me the opportunity to become acquainted with the structure and rai·son d'ê·tre of pertinent university and government outreach organizations, and the functional relationships that exist between those entities and their target demographics, as well as observe the influence and the reach that their collective programs have, and to discern successful ways in which myself and others can navigate and leverage that programming. Being a military veteran myself, it is of added benefit, and personal reward, that the outcomes of my appointment directly benefit a population that is near and dear to my heart.

My family and I are honored to be a part of the local farming community, and we are privileged to be able to access, share and contribute to the collective agricultural knowledge of this region.
