Sip Your Way Into Fall with Cider Week

Originally to connect producers with retailers and restaurants, Cider Week has expanded to become a public attraction in various regions throughout New York State. This week marks the beginning of Cider Week- Finger Lakes, which includes a multitude of events from September 28 – October 8, 2018.

Over the ten-day period, events range from a cider-filled cruise on Cayuga Lake to a walking tour of the Cornell Orchards. In between you can find Black Diamond Farm cider by the glass in Moosewood cafe, a three course dinner at Hazelnut Kitchen, and various cider tastings at the Ithaca Farmers Market. Join Cornell researchers, staff, and students for an exhibit co-hosted by Mann Library and taste apples while viewing a rare book display.

Be sure to reply to the Facebook Event to stay up-to-date throughout the week.

Ahead of the events you can learn more about cider, like why hard cider is the ultimate American drink and research that has helped the cider industry throughout New York.
