Best Management Practices for New High Tunnel Growers

This program is targeted for commercial growers new to high tunnels but all who are interested in improving their crop yield, quality, and profitability by using high tunnels are welcome. Topics include site selection & structural considerations, crop & variety selection, cultural management, disease management, and an experienced grower panel. NRCS cooperating farms are particularly encouraged to attend. Speakers will include Judson Reid, specialist with Cornell Vegetable Program; Amy Ivy, Specialist with Eastern New York Horticulture Program; and Elizabeth Buck of the Cornell Vegetable Program. Registration is due by November 25, 2014. Cost is $25/person and includes lunch, refreshments and resource materials.
